Recently, Mr. Kurt Jelinek, P.E., took the oath of office during the Boston Society of Civil Engineers (BSCE) Board of Government Meeting to chair the Transportation Group. The Mission of the Transportation Group focuses on all matters relevant to the topic of transportation including planning, engineering, design, construction, operation and funding of transportation facilities. The group is intended to provide a forum for educating BSCES members (and non-members) on all types of transportation projects and issues. The group is multi-modal and considers a range of issues facing passenger and freight movement on the following modes—airport, highway, transit, rail, water transportation, pedestrians and bicycles.
