Nobis assisted Concord Christian Academy with identifying property to provide a new location for the Academy in the City of Concord. Nobis prepared concept plans for the potential properties to identify the feasibility of sustaining the current school while providing opportunity for future expansion. Concord Christian Academy landed at 37 Regional Drive in Concord in an existing structure, the former Centennial Senior Center.
Nobis performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for the property on behalf of Concord Christian Academy. Almost immediately, the Academy was looking to expand the existing facility. Nobis worked closely with the Academy on a phased approach to improve the property to house pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students. This meant additional classrooms, parking, and additional floor area.
Nobis conducted site engineering for the phased improvements to the Academy. The project phases in progression included renovation of the interior of the structure, the addition of a 4,000 sf building to the front of the existing structure, permitting and design of temporary classrooms, and the addition of 26,000 sf building off the rear of the existing structure. Site engineering included layout of improvements, grading and drainage design, utility design, and landscape design. Nobis successfully prepared and obtained Site Plan Permits for all phases of the project.
