Nobis provided civil site design engineering, environmental response actions, landscape architecture, and wetlands delineation services for a proposed new 13,000 square foot (SF) retail building on a previously developed 2±-acre site.
Preliminary/Final Design Phase
A concept plan and final design of the retail building, associated parking areas, and new site entrances was completed by Nobis. A utility plan included the appropriate utility connections to the proposed buildings from the existing utilities on-site and within the area. A full drainage analysis was completed and an erosion control plan was prepared to obtain permits. A demolition plan was also prepared for removal of existing buildings and infrastructure.Environmental Response Actions
Nobis provided environmental response actions for a variety of things encountered during demolition at this urban Brownfields site, including a waste oil release, 500-gallon and 3,000-gallon waste oil underground storage tank (UST) unearthed during demolition, boiler removed from the foundation, foundation with debris and asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), chamber with oil boom, and hydraulic piston vaults. They hydraulic piston vaults needed to be pressure washed. Tank cleanings were done on the USTs. Contaminated soil was removed from the site.
Landscape Plan
Nobis’ Landscape Architect prepared a landscape plan including plantings around the new retail building, the interior landscape islands of the parking area, and the perimeter of the property in accordance with the City landscaping requirements. A colored graphic was prepared for Planning Board Meetings.Wetlands Delineation
Nobis’ Certified Wetland Scientist completed an investigation of the site and ascertained that the parcel was free of wetlands and other areas within the jurisdiction of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Wetlands Bureau.Contract Documents and Bid Administration
Nobis is preparing construction drawings, a Request for Proposal (RFP), and Division 2 Technical Specifications for site work to prepare the site for construction of a CVS/Pharmacy.
