NH State Liquor Store

Nobis Engineering, Inc. was retained by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) to perform wetlands boundary delineation, reporting, and permitting; prepare the geotechnical investigation and reporting; and prepare the Site Plan design for a proposed 10,000 square foot liquor store, north of NH Route 9, in Keene, New Hampshire, with associated parking and loading areas, drainage, and utilities.

The objective of our engineering services was to perform subsurface explorations and evaluate the subsurface conditions and their potential impacts on proposed foundations and pavements; prepare the site plan design; perform wetland boundary delineation, and prepare and submit the appropriate wetlands permit application to the NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) for the proposed liquor store development.

Nobis delineated the wetland boundaries on the basis of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils and wetland hydrology. The wetland boundaries were labeled with flagging within the designated project boundaries. A brief letter report was prepared characterizing the delineated wetlands, including a worksheet with an identifier for each wetland that corresponded to the field flagging system.
