Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME

Nobis was part of a team to assist the U.S. Navy to design-build a bachelor enlisted quarters facility at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The facility features a four-story, U-shaped building with extensive landscaping and site work to facilitate a green courtyard in the center of the structure. Complete with recreation facilities, a computer lab, storage rooms, an athletic training room and office space, the new quarters house 198 Navy personnel. The project site work amenities include tennis courts, a playground, a pavilion structure and parking facilities for 144 vehicles.
