Nobis has been providing Dollar General stores with civil site engineering services for the construction of new retail stores throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. Nobis provides full service throughout the life of the project, from preliminary site evaluations to site design and final construction oversight.
Nobis provides preliminary due diligence research related to the proposed construction including researching land use regulations, permitting requirements, utility requirements, and wetlands presence. Nobis completes an ALTA survey of the site, completing a topographic survey that is then used as the base for civil/site design. Incorporating the conceptual site layout into the ALTA survey, Nobis verifies that the site plan, grading, and utility elements generally conform to the original design intent. Nobis then assists Dollar General with navigating through the preliminary design and permitting phase by preparing site plan packages and meeting with local authorities. The plan packages include building layouts, parking/access layouts, driveways, and site grading.
For each site, Nobis provides stormwater design and permitting services which include a drainage analysis and stormwater mitigation design. Nobis generally creates a low impact design for controlling stormwater by using infiltration and detention controls. Nobis will also prepare an erosion and sediment control plan for construction and landscape alteration purposes. All of these designs are included in the Site Layout plan that Nobis assists the client in presenting to authorities, and contractors for the final approval and build of their project.
