As prime contractor for a 10-year, $122M Indefinite Delivery Type USEPA Region 1 Remedial Action Contract since 2006, Nobis has completed more than 55 task orders throughout Region 1 that have included both fund lead and enforcement support activities including Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, Remedial Actions, Non-Time Critical Removal Actions, Long Term Monitoring, Technical Assistance, Enforcement Support, CERCLA Five Year Reviews, and Targeted Brownfield Assessments.
In particular, Nobis has performed Remedial Actions at the following Superfund Sites throughout New England:
- Silresim Chemical Corporation, Lowell, MA, a 4.5-acre industrial chemical plant
- Groveland Wells Nos. 1 & 2 Superfund Site, Groveland, MA, former metal parts manufacturing site
- Nyanza Chemical Waste Dump, Ashland, MA, 35-acre site, formerly used to manufacture textile dyes and other chemicals
- Eastern Surplus Company, Meddybemps, ME, 5-acre facility used a salvage area for military surplus materials
- Eastland Woolen Mills, Corinna, ME, a former textile mill
