In this project, ongoing as of July 2011, Nobis is assisting the Town of Marlborough, New Hampshire installing, testing, and permitting two new gravel-packed production wells to serve the Town water system. The new wells will replace the Town’s current wells in a more protected location. Nobis is working closely with the Town, a subcontracted well driller, the Town’s engineering consultant, and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). Nobis’ services include overall project coordination; drilling and well construction supervision; permit applications to NHDES for a Large Groundwater Withdrawal Permit and a New Large Community Well permit; pumping test design and conduct; monitoring groundwater, wetlands, and stream flow; assisting the Town with Water Conservation Plan and a Wellhead Protection Plan; and support at Public Hearings. Nobis assisted the Town in obtaining a federal grant/loan funding package for the project.
